Teaching is a learning process. As educator you must follow steps or going from the general aspects of a topic to the more specific ones. To build knowledge, triggering the previews knowledge with activities or exercises. As Bloom taxonomy is organized as a pyramid, teaching and learning goes in the same way. As teacher you start by teaching nouns easy to memorized and also related to students environment. One of the goals is that the student can apply his or her knowledge in a real life situation this involves higher levels of thinking. (Introduction: Foundations for Teaching and Learningpag pag 4) The goals are directly related to the learning process in my opinion. Problem solving and critical thinking are higher process of thinking. This abilities are the end of a process taht eternally spins everyday into new acquisitions.
